YOUTH CONFERENCE GUIDELINES

1. DO NOT BRING ANYTHING OF VALUE.  We will not be responsible for any items that may be lost or damaged. No money will be needed.

 

2. Electronic devices (cell phones, iPods, tablets, laptops, etc.) are permitted as long they are used in an appropriate manner and at appropriate times.

  • Appropriate manner: electronics may be used to take pictures, access scriptures, read books, listen to music, etc. 

  • Appropriate times: electronics should generally be turned off/put away during any group discussions or activities.  

  • Bring electronic devices at your own risk, as we will not be held responsible for loss, theft or damage.

3. Agree to abide by For The Strength of Youth standards in modest dress and behavior. Participants conduct and interactions should abide by Church Standards and exemplify Christlike behavior.

4. Check-in begins at 7:30 am on Thursday, July 11, 2019.  Youth will be returning to the Joliet Stake Center around 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Youth can contact parents/leaders with more exact times as we near the stake center.

5. Group activities and free time.

  • Participants should stay with their assigned teams during structured activities. 

  • Participants should use a "buddy/group system" during free time.

  • No youth should be on their own at any time.

  • A responsible adult must know where you are at all times.

  • A single male and single female should not be alone together but should socialize in a larger group. 

  • There will be separate sleeping/lodging areas for males and females.  No one is allowed in the sleeping area of the opposite sex at any time.

 

6.  Participants should be respectful of the facility and personal property, follow all facility rules and be in designated areas only.

7.  Only registered adults and youth may attend Youth Conference.  No visitors are allowed.  Arrangements for youth coming late or leaving early should be made with Stake leaders in advance.
